For as long as I can remember, my voice has made people stop and listen. Most of the time that was good news: its naturally youthful and distinctive sound was welcomed and celebrated. It also had a way of making me feel very much different -- which was not always how I wanted to feel. Voice acting, though, showed me that the natural-voice quality (we’ll call her “Natural-Angie”) that voice that so many folks were surprise by could truly become one of my greatest creative strengths. Further, when I developed my vocal instrument beyond Natural-Angie -- like a musician would on a piano exploring other octaves and keys -- I discovered a whole stable of characters within me, many of whom were markedly different than Natural-Angie and ready to play. My love of performance began with thirteen years of classical ballet, where I discovered the discipline, imagination and joy of bringing stories to life. Today, that same sense of play leads me into the recording booth, where I create everything from bright, mischievous characters and spirited young heroes to grounded, authoritative and deliciously villainous voices for characters.
